Frequently Asked Questions
Can it be converted from natural gas to propane?
The Quest 30 is factory-configured for natural gas (QST30-NG) or propane (QST30-LP). Choose the model that matches your connection — it is not a field conversion kit.
Is the rotisserie kit included?
Yes. The Quest includes the 13,000 BTU rear infrared burner and a complete 40-lb rotisserie kit (motor, spit and forks) from the factory.
Does it need electricity?
Yes. The Quest uses electronic Flame-Thrower ignition and Waterfall LED lighting, so it requires a 110V connection. A manual flash-tube backup is included for lighting.
What cut-out do I need to build it in?
28½" wide × 10¼" high × 19¾" deep. For a combustible island, add the GL-QST30 insulating liner.
×
Gas Control Kit
This kit includes the flexible gas hose and key valve used to connect the burner to your gas supply and manually control gas flow for flame adjustment.
Most installations require a gas control kit unless the installer is providing their own gas valve and connection hardware.
×
Do I Need a Burner Mounting Plate?
Creates a stable surface for proper burner support.
Recommended for most fire pit installations.
✔ Add a Plate If...
- Your fire pit has an open top frame
- You want the burner centered and level
✗ Skip It If...
- Your fire pit already has a built-in burner pan
- Your installer is providing their own support frame
Which Shape Do I Choose?
Round Plate
For circular fire pit openings
Square Plate
Designed for square fire pit openings
Rectangular Plate
Ideal for linear fire pit openings.
